Here is my first try at animating two boxes jump in Toon Boom Harmony, in the likeness of Pixar's Luxo Jr, where we have a little box jump trying to impress the big box, only for the big box to show the little one how it's done.
I felt there were a few things wrong in this take, such as the big box being too central and jumping off in the wrong direction, the little box's jump being over before the big one is watching and just too much going on in general, leading to the eyes not knowing where to look.
I added more spacing and fixed the timing of the animation to allow for more or less one thing to happen at a time, as well as move the big box over to the right a little to allow for more breathing room for the little box. Finally I fixed the direction in which the big box jumps off screen.
The main thing I did here was add the colour, however I also deleted a few of the frames when the boxes squash during the land as I had over animated the characters, and there wasn't really any sense of weight.
